College Board to change SAT reporting policy

The College Board has announced substantial changes to its policy with regards to SAT score reporting to a student’s colleges. Under the current system, students cannot choose which scores they wish to share with their colleges. A student’s SAT score report contains a complete and cumulative list of all SAT Reasoning Tests and all SAT Subject Tests. Beginning in February 2009, students will have the option to select individual test sittings and scores to send to their colleges. This policy brings the College Board more in line with reporting practices for the ACT, which currently gives students the flexibility to select the scores they wish to share with colleges and scholarships.
